POLICY REGARDING FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUESTS

1. Definitions:
The following words and terms, when used in this policy, shall have the following meaning unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

FOIA Request” or “Request” means a request to inspect or copy Public Records pursuant to Chapter 29, Section 10003 of the Delaware Code and in accordance with the policy hereunder.

Public Record” shall have the meaning set forth in 29 Del. C. §10002.

Requesting Party” shall mean the party filing a FOIA Request.

2. Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the rules and procedures for responding to requests from the public for Public Records under Title 29, Chapter 100 of the Delaware Code, the Freedom of Information Act.

Method of Filing Request:

FOIA Requests may be made by email or submitting the online request to the shelter.

Payment:

Payment of $20.00 shall be due at the time of the request for information. The records are released to the Requesting Party within 30 days pursuant to the request and after fees collected by the Shelter.

Effective Date:
This policy shall become effective May 1, 2013.

Once you have completed and submitted the form, you will be redirected to a payment page. There is a .00 fee for each request.

Welcome to Kids Rock!

 This section of our website is dedicated to all the young people who have donated their time holding donation drives, fundraisers and other projects that benefit our shelter and the animals we care for. Thank you to all of you, your group leaders and your families for their continued support.

 


What a birthday! What a kid!

 

Katrina Vallorosi had a 7th birthday party and instead of gifts asked for donations for the animals here. She collected 114 lbs of food and treats.

 
Thank you Kenny Haltom! 

 

Kenny Haltom requested donations instead of birthday gifts for his 7th birthday on Saturday, 3/2/13!  He donated paper towels, dog biscuits, toys, and cat food!

Thank you Mason Metz and Isabella Wood

 

 Friday Feb. 8, 2013, Mason Paul Rigby Metz, age 2, and Isabella Wood, age 2 1/2, came in and donated dog food, dog biscuits, cat food and toys to our homeless shelter pets!  This was in request of donations instead of birthday gifts for Mason, who's birthday is tomorrow.

 


 

 Cub Scout Pack 79 

 

 Cub Scout Pack 79 came in for a tour of the shelter on 1/16/13 and made a large donation of much needed supplies for our shelter.  The staff, volunteers and the animals are very appreciative for their generosity and kindness.

 


 Hannah Armstrong

Hannah Armstrong, age 11, did a donation drive for the Kent County SPCA and collected monetary and non-monetary donations for the homeless pets.

 

 


 

 Virginia Welch

Virginia Welch is a 6th grader at Holy Cross School. She got donations for a stewardship project.
