KCSPCA: Spay Day USA
February 23, 2010
“Bring on The Boys” and a few of their “Favorite Friends” brought a record 86 male cats and 20 female cats to the Kent County SPCA on February 23rd for a reduced fee surgical procedure as part of the national Spayday USA effort to combat cat overpopulation in our communities.
Pictured here are expectant boys still wondering what happened to breakfast and why they got to go for a ride in the car this morning.
"Doc Tammi “ (left) is hard at work with our medical staff in one of our surgical suites while “Doc Waters" (right) and her team is moving cats through our other.
The auditorium, now turned into a recovery area, houses many of the cats that are sleeping off their experience and waiting for their families to bring them home . Tomorrow, they will be back to their normal routines, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for Felv/FIV and no longer able to add to the cat population of our state!
