Putting your pet to sleep The Kent County SPCA recognizes that the hardest part of pet guardianship is the day you have to decide to let your beloved pet cross Rainbow Bridge. We offer euthanasia services for the public by appointment. Please call 302-698-3006 (option 2 at the main menu) if you need to schedule this service for your pet. There are many options, and you will be asked when you call what service you will need. You will also be asked whether you plan on being present for the euthanasia. The appointments that we have for private euthanasia are (Monday through Saturday): Owner not Present: 1pm, 1:15pm, 1:30pm, 1:45pm and 2:00pm Owner present: 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm Puff "the magical" Pussy Cat is our newest celebrity for Pet of the Week!

The Kent County SPCA will begin limited intake of cats The intake is as follows:
Please call in advance to see if space permits; if not, you will be placed on a waiting list, and called as space becomes available. There are turn in fees for owned animals; please make sure to ask what that fee is when you arrange to bring your cat in. We apologize if this causes any hardship; we are working only to protect the health and lives of the animals currently calling the Kent County SPCA home.

Acquainting Delawareans with our state’s ONLY open-door shelter Every year, in communities across Delaware, thousands of dogs find themselves lost, abandoned, abused or neglected.Seven days a week, every week of the year, we at the Kent County SPCA open our doors to them, providing what is sometimes a first — and sometimes the only — refuge for those dogs that have become the most unwanted among us.But our job doesn’t end there.
